I Love Thee No More (unedited version - edited version below)

Once upon a dream of mine,
Sweet and pure as the hummingbird's song,
I found my eyes caught up in thine;
Thy face shone bright through the throng.
My heart grew to love thee,
As man and woman may,
In hopes that thou wouldst love me
In the very same way.
And for a time, all in the world mattered not
For thou wast my princess and my love.
Gold and silver for thine neck I bought,
And soft white silk and velvet for my precious dove.
But alas! My love hath been forsaken!
Thou wast not the answer to my needs.
All my heart thou hast exploited and taken
And destroyed through thine masked evil deeds.
The dream is now but a nightmare
And the memories but a curse;
Painful reminders which I must bear.
I live happily now, but with thee I was much worse!
O thou, demon-spawned, evil to the core!
I hath loved thee once, but yet I love thee no more!

I Love Thee No More (edited version)

Once upon a dream of mine,
Sweet and pure as the hummingbird's song,
I found my eyes caught up in thine;

My heart grew to love thee,
As man and woman may,
In hopes that thou wouldst love me

And for a time, the world mattered not
For thou wast my princess and my love.
Gold and silver for thine neck I bought;
Soft silk and velvet for my precious dove.
But alas! My love hath been forsaken!
My heart and soul hath been deceived!
All my heart thou hast exploited and taken
And destroyed with thine treacherous deeds.
The dream is now but a nightmare
And the memories but a curse;
Cumbersome reminders which I must bear,
But yet, the agony and pain is so much worse!
O thou, who hast lies and deceiption in her core!
I hath loved thee once, but yet I love thee no more!
